I feel like these past few weeks have been insane! I have barely been able to catch my breath. And it’s been so fucking fantastic.
I was away in Sydney seeing my #bestie and #bestiesboyfie for about 10 days and i absolutely fell inlove with SYD. It reminded me so much of New Zealand and I actually got pretty emotional because it made me miss NZ so much more than i realized. It was beyond beautiful in Sydney, especially up in Budgewoi where my friend lives. I caught a train from her house into Sydney which took about an hour and a bit and it was amazing!! A blimmen double decker train – we don’t have em in Perth! Was so rad. Toilets on board even. So fancy.
Anyway – the views that you pass when you are on this train are actually stunning. I was “oo-ing” at all the beautiful landscapes and views while subtly crying because I miss home so much and i didn’t realize how much i missed home until i really thought about it.
Sydney is the happy medium. It’s beautiful like NZ, Has the similar weather but the benefit of being in Australia with all the perks. I could definitely live there. For sure.
While in Sydney – I went to Kanye West and i can honestly say that he was AMAZING!!! Such an interactive performer and I didn’t sit down once. I was literally half twerking and rapping at the same time. Such a rad vibe. And knowing that you were in the same room as Kim Kardashians booty just made it all the more special.
We were at the concert where Kanye apparently told the men in the wheelchairs to stand up. That never happened. At all. What actually happened was very different and not remotely how the media played it out to be. Kanye is an interactive performer and he told us all to stand up. He said “unless you are in a wheelchair and can’t stand up – then i want you to stand up” and that was pretty much it. It’s funny how you read magazines and they make these celebrities out to be so cold and cruel but until you are actually there – you have no idea.
We got your back this time Yeezus. I got you bub.
Overall i give him 10/10 for that show. Pusha T was an amazing opening act too. He was so crisp and clear and didn’t miss a beat or a line. Love you Push. I love you bae.
When i was over east Annie and Chris took me to Manly and i lost it. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was there. I feel like if i could be a seagull – i would defs hang around Manly all day because everyone was so lovely and i would most definitely get enough chippies to sustain a healthy life.
The only down fall was when we went to get lunch at this pub and we literally had to wait like an hour and when i got my fish – there wasn’t any sauce or even any lemon. Should have listened to Chris and got Hungry Jacks. Never again. Going to give such a bad review on Urban Spoon and i never give bad reviews on Urban Spoon because i always feel bad for them.
I had a beautiful last day with my bestie too. Chilling at the little beach down the road. I got a pretty healthy tan as well. Thank you for having me Annie and Chris! Love you guys and miss you so much! Canney wait to go back for more teevee snacks and amazing views. I felt so at home in Sydney an di loved every minute of being over east. Xxx
By the time i got back to Perth – Telstra Perth Fashion Festival had already begun and i was iiiitching to get back and see what Perth had to offer. And as usual – the talented designers did not disappoint.
My darling Reny Kestel and Sandy Lai took me to Galvanised and it was amazing. We had the pleasure of sitting next to designers Alex Perry and Johnny Schembri front row. Was actually such a beautiful show.
Empire Rose had teamed up with Reny Kestel and put on an insane show. The amount of talent on one runway was actually overwhelming. It was a mixture of elegance, a rock show and some type of fairy tale. I can’t tell you how proud I am of Reny for her beautiful head pieces that were on show. Yaaaaaas lady!!

Hello Parry had their first fashion show in Fashion Central on the Saturday and i was beyond excited to see how it would all go. Sandy Lai had put so much effort into this show and i was so proud of her! Everything was styled beautifully and the models were elegant and stunning. Such a great job girl! The whole vibe of the show was fun and reminded me of Summer. I can’t wait to get my little hands on the amazing pieces that were shown that day! If you haven’t been on the site then have a look! I guarantee you’ll fall inlove with it! Welldone Sandy and Nick too!!

That night i went to the WA designers night and was absolutely blown away. WA is full of so many talented designers and i was ecstatic to be sitting next to Style Crush Blogger Natalie Italiano and the stunning Andrea Goh. My favourite from the show was probably Ethel & Leo, BRUUG and of course – Sara Winfield Swim because who doesn’t like a swimsuit show? Seriously. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them . I have already put majority of her pieces on my wish list for summer but really - her pieces are so beautiful that i would wear them all year round.
I am looking forward to getting into events and fashion more and more and hopefully being more involved in the fashion community in WA. Looking forward to working on a wee project myself and i'll keep you all posted.
So keen to be back into blogging more often as well. yaaaaaaay!!!
LOVE
