Summer is coming and so is the pressure of getting your white booty into a kini and into shape. Quick smart.
I personally am on a diet.. Well not so much of a diet but I am definitely watching what I'm eating as well as trying to work out every single day. Just to prep the bod you know.. So I'm Instagram ready at all times. And so I can take it easy on the filters..
You feel me.
Something that is a daunting feeling for me is when I've decided to start eating healthy I have to say goodbye to my good friends Sugar and Carbs and also my frenemy .. Mr. Deep fried.
Why must it taste so good!?
Anyway. I've found some awesome snacks you can have that are just like a treat but won't make you feel bad about eating it. Or make you look like a slug. Here's my fave top 5 treats!!
1. Java Juice or Tutti Frutti frozen yoghurt.
The fact that it looks like icecream but it's not is a winner in my eyes. Perfect for the hot days coming up here in Perth. Let's not forget all of the extras you can pile on top. Berries, nuts and maybe even a tiny teddy! Both places give you a list if what is in each yoghurt and it's natural!
Go on..treat yourself!
2. Yoghurt and musli. Sooo delicious. Growing up I was never a big one for breakfast but these days I'm pretty much ravenous all the time from working out so I thought I'd give this a go and it's great. Fills me up and I am a bottomless pit! A great yoghurt to use is anything from Brownes. The Light range are awesome too. And Coles and Woolworths both have a good range of musli depending on what you want in it.
3. Popsicles!! But not the ones full of sugar! You can make your own! Use natural fruit juice and real pieces of fruit! You can even use your yoghurt and put that in there too! Awesome arvo or after dinner treat :)
You can pick up the Popsicle containers from IKEA or any good homewares store.
4. Sugar free jelly with pieces of fruit! My friend Lisa from work made some for Annie and I and we nearly lost it! So simple and easy and so yum! Use pineapple or raspberries in your jelly! Only like 35calories!
5. And finally..last but not least. Lollies. If you are a self confessed "lolly queen" as I am then you will love to know that 'Jelly Belly' have sugar free jelly beans! With flavours like juicy pear, tangerine and sizzling cinnamon! 20 beans are about 46 calories.
I feel like it is sooo important to be able to treat yourselves. You deserve it!!
Now here's some photos of me thoroughly enjoying my frozen yoghurt from Java Juice today. My expression in the first photo is the "sweet lawd! This is good dog!" face... Enjoy!
