Mermaid Days

So one time I googled "how to become a mermaid" and all these potions popped up and spells and recipes on how to become this majestic creature with a human body and the tail of a fish.
I don't know if I'm quite ready to eat a seal carcass but I'm sure there are other ways to atleast look like a mermaid..

Back in the day Mermaids (or the thought of mermaids) were linked to drowning a, shipwrecks and awful things like floods.

These days, mermaids have basically been associated as total beach babes. This is possibly since the movie The little  Mermaid. I mean there was not one single thing evil about Ariel. The same can't be said for Ursula though.
So anyway.. Beach babes..Think Isobel Lucas.. Lara bingle even. Just hot girls in bikinis with nice hair.

So this summer I plan on reinventing myself into a beach babe. Tone, tan, fit and ready to grow a tail..

This post really isn't about anything in particular. Just wanted to let you all know that I want to be a mermaid.

So stay tuned for some sick mermaid photos to come.. If anyone knows where I can purchase a tail.. Please let me know . I already have two shells that will do for a bra.

Love.

Love All, Trust few, Do wrong to none.

I'm 21.
Sometimes I feel like I'm still in highschool. Even now that I'm working full time and majority of the people I work with are double my age- it still feels like high school.
This is because of trust. You can't trust anyone. No matter who it is and how lovely they may seem - trust very few people.

It feels like the stakes are always so much higher when it comes to your work place. People are always competing and striving to be better than eachother. Rather than empowering and helping eachother to be the best they can be -  people are using eachother and gaining their trust just to throw them under the bus in order to get to where they want to be.

This is just part of life now. Everything is a race, a game and a competition. There's nothing else you can do to change everyone else. You just need to play along.

Love all- You get what you give.
Trust Few- Most people are shitty.
Do wrong to none- Karma is real.

Dancing it out with Marko and AADC

I have never come out of a dance workshop with a guest choreographer and felt so inspired before. Ever.

Marko Panzic is probably one of the most down to earth and honest people in the business and I feel so blessed to have been able to dance with him and hear him speak.

"In order to grow, we have to feel like an idiot first"

How perfect is that?! I wish I had a pen and paper while I was in there just to write down all the inspirational things Marko said.
He has worked for artists like Ricki-lee, Jessica Mauboy, Kelly Rowland and even Geri halliwell!
So talented!
He works so hard and if you ever have the chance to dance with him- take it!

Feeling so humbled and positive tonight, just thinking back on today and seeing how he chased his dream.

"We as dancers are so blessed to be able to come into the studio and after one song we just feel so much better. So many people live their lives never knowing that joy. We are so lucky"

Amazing dancer and a beautiful soul.

Outfit of the day. Date night edition.

My style changes so often that I don't even know how to describe it anymore.
I feel like I just wear whatever I want to all the time and pray that I don't look awful.

While I was running errands on a Friday arvo I opted for the comfiest little sandles alive! And cute tshirt dress and simple hair and dark eyes.

As most of you know- I am the biggest bargain hunter you will ever meet! I don't feel like I've had a good day shopping unless I've gotten some amazing deals! So my whole outfit probably cost around $60 in total. Minus my leather vintage bag. And the head piece..but we will get to that!

My sandles are from Betts and were $45 on Sale!! You can get them in black or brown and they are adorable! Awesome for work or the weekend! Even a night out if you plan on getting so wasted you can't wear heels. I know how it is.
www.betts.com.au

My cute T-shirt dress is from..believe it or not.. SUPRE!! Haven't shopped there since I was 14 but there is an outlet supre just down from my house so I thought I'd check it out. Picked up this little baby for $5!! I mean cmon!!
www.supre.com.au or if you are in Perth- pop on down to the Osborne park store. So.many.deals. It'd be rude not to go!

My adorable gold chain and stone earrings were both from Colette! I always, without a doubt find some beautiful cheap jewelry from there! They always have awesome sales on too! Picked up these bad boys for $5 each!
www.colettehayman.com.au

Extra!
To top off this outfit from a comfy day wear outfit to a cute romantic outfit I added a gorgeous Lana Del Rey inspired head piece.
Now my floral head piece was about $10 from Lovisa. Awesome idea for the races coming up and makes me look like a fairy.(or atleast I thought so).

So there's my outfit of the day (ootd as the hip kids say)!! Hope you've enjoyed reading! And check out those sites!
Remember to take risks with floral head pieces and items you usually wouldn't go for! A simple headpiece transformed my whole outfit!

The importance of a having a treat.

Summer is coming and so is the pressure of getting your white booty into a kini and into shape. Quick smart.
I personally am on a diet.. Well not so much of a diet but I am definitely watching what I'm eating as well as trying to work out every single day. Just to prep the bod you know.. So I'm Instagram ready at all times. And so I can take it easy on the filters..
You feel me.

Something that is a daunting feeling for me is when I've decided to start eating healthy I have to say goodbye to my good friends Sugar and Carbs and also my frenemy .. Mr. Deep fried.
Why must it taste so good!?
Anyway. I've found some awesome snacks you can have that are just like a treat but won't make you feel bad about eating it. Or make you look like a slug. Here's my fave top 5 treats!!

1. Java Juice or Tutti Frutti frozen yoghurt.
The fact that it looks like icecream but it's not is a winner in my eyes. Perfect for the hot days coming up here in Perth. Let's not forget all of the extras you can pile on top. Berries, nuts and maybe even a tiny teddy! Both places give you a list if what is in each yoghurt and it's natural!
Go on..treat yourself!

2. Yoghurt and musli. Sooo delicious. Growing up I was never a big one for breakfast but these days I'm pretty much ravenous all the time from working out so I thought I'd give this a go and it's great. Fills me up and I am a bottomless pit! A great yoghurt to use is anything from Brownes. The Light range are awesome too. And Coles and Woolworths both have a good range of musli depending on what you want in it.

3. Popsicles!! But not the ones full of sugar! You can make your own! Use natural fruit juice and real pieces of fruit! You can even use your yoghurt and put that in there too! Awesome arvo or after dinner treat :)
You can pick up the Popsicle containers from IKEA or any good homewares store.

4. Sugar free jelly with pieces of fruit! My friend Lisa from work made some for Annie and I and we nearly lost it! So simple and easy and so yum! Use pineapple or raspberries in your jelly! Only like 35calories!

5. And finally..last but not least. Lollies. If you are a self confessed "lolly queen" as I am then you will love to know that 'Jelly Belly' have sugar free jelly beans! With flavours like juicy pear, tangerine and sizzling cinnamon! 20 beans are about 46 calories.

I feel like it is sooo important to be able to treat yourselves. You deserve it!!

Now here's some photos of me thoroughly enjoying my frozen yoghurt from Java Juice today. My expression in the first photo is the "sweet lawd! This is good dog!" face... Enjoy!

Melbourne.

Melbourne

So since i moved over from New Zealand two years ago, i haven't really been anywhere but Perth.
But earlier this year Rob and I went over to Melbourne for a wedding.
and.. I fell inlove.
It's such a beautiful city. No doubt one of the most arty and chill places I have ever been.
Heading back to Melbourne next month and i am over the moon.
I'm going to come back 20kgs heavier and my luggage 30kgs heavier.
The life!

Here are some snap shots of our last trip there.

Here's my boyfriend Rob getting intimate with a horse.
Rob is dressed as "the bearded lady" because it was a circus themed wedding! how cool!

And here's another snap of the Horse man. Just getting jiggy on another horse.

Bubba waiting for me to finish shopping on Chapel St.

 Melbourne by night. Stunning.

My favourite place there. The Crepe stall. This is a MUST when you go there. Open late so when you stumble out of the nearby HipHop R'n'B club you can grab one while you wait for your tram.Epic.

And of course, Graffiti. Maybe one of the only things i knew about Melbourne before i got there was the fact that they have amazing street artists. Very cool alley ways.

Cannot wait to go back.
If you haven't been..then go.
And if you have..go again :)

Lashes!!!

You know when you are just feeling average and everyone is getting ready to go out and have a good time and you are just laying on the ground in your fat pants and bra like a beached whale moaning about how you are "bloated" and "ugly" and just "can't be bothered going out" ?
Anyone? No? Just me?
Weeeeeeeeeeell I'm pretty sure you girls and sometimes guys feel like me too..

Something that gets me going and pumped up and ready to get jiggy is just a simple pair of Ardell Lashes!
Arnold Miller and his wife Sydell Miller founded Ardell in 1971! So they really know what they are doing.
They complete your look and are so comfortable to wear all night!

My favourite are the 'Demi'.
Think Kim K and Victorias Secret eyes!
Seeeexayyy.
Glue is extremely important. Even more so than the lashes. Match your Ardell lashes (or any of your choice) and match them with the Ardell Striplash Adhesive!

You can also use this glue to stick a number of things onto your face. Feathers, sequins or just glue your finger to your eyelid. It's quite literally a great eyelash adhesive for your lashes.

You can purchase your lashes from http://www.ardelllashes.com
Another awesome thing on this site is the tab "find your perfect lash". Based on your eye shape and colour the website will tell you the best lashes to suit you!!

Try it kids!! Tag me in your posts on Facebook or Instagram!!

Do it.

I finally feel like I am getting somewhere. Just in general. I'm getting somewhere emotionally. Somewhere where I am content and happy and I am so pleased. Couldn't do this all without my amazing familia and my good friends that have stood by me through everything. And of course my wonderful boyfriend, Rob.

I just feel so blessed.
So lucky.
But this has all worked out because I really really tried hard to get to this to this point in my life.
The motto- "if you want it, go get it. Right now!"

Khloe Kardashian inspired eyes for summer.

Love them or hate them - they are still reality tv royalty. Since 2007 they have graced our Telly's with their ridiculous lifestyle and their ridiculously good looks. 8 seasons strong and still looking babin every episode!

My favourite Dash Doll is by far Khloe Kardashian.
The rumour mill is in overdrive amid reports her and her estranged/maybe not so estranged hubby Lamar Odom are back on after it was revealed he was dealing with a few drug demons. Khloe apparently is reaching out to Lamar because she is basically just too lovely and doesn't want to see him ruin his career he has worked so hard on.

 What a lovely gal!
This is just one of the reasons she's my fav. That..and the fact she is hilarious. And I respect that because I'm pretty funny myself.

There's no denying the fact there has been a large amount of talk about who Khloes 'real' father may be. And there is no denying the fact she doesn't exactly look just like Kim or Kourtney. However she can pull off so many more makeup looks than her older sisters.

For this look I used a light green pencil and a shimmery green shadow around my tear duct and inner lower lash line. Both are MAC. (Don't over-do it with the green shadow or you may end up like the wee old wrinkly lady off There's Something About Mary.)
My lids are 'woodwinked' from MAC.

I'm using lashes from the Kardashian Beauty collection from Kit Cosmetics for this look which are awesome!
For the bottom lashes I used my MAC 'Haute and Naughty' mascara.
Foundation is MAC Studio Fix and lips are Kardashian Beauty 'au naturel nude lip set'

Try this look for a wee night out on the town or even a Sunday sesh. Team it with a fresh tan and you're good to go doll.

Summer Is Coming Gals and Guys.. Guess What Time It Is... It's Tan Time.

Nothing makes me feel more confident than a tan. How ridiculous is that? A good solid tan.
Do You ever see some girls out and they look like they have rolled around a packet of Doritos? Well that is the exact look we are NOT going for this summer. Infact that look we don't want ever.
I use St Tropez Tan Mousse Dark. I would never rave on about something unless it was amazing, and this my friends.. is amazing.
You literally cannot stuff it up! i would suggest getting the applicator sponge mitt too! but it works so well either way!
After you apply it.. leave it on for about 8 hours then wash it off. You can fully moisturise and everything! it's amazing!
It's a MUST for heading to the beach early summer..just before the real tan kicks in!

Go get yours from either online at www.beautybay.com or at any good Pharmacy! I got mine from Priceline on Hay St., Perth!
